Golden Buttery Mozzarella Stuffed Biscuits (Print Version)

Warm biscuit bombs stuffed with melty mozzarella, brushed with garlic butter, and baked under cheddar and Parmesan.

# Ingredients:

For the biscuit bombs

01 - 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough, 16 biscuits total
02 - 8 oz (225 g) low-moisture mozzarella, cut into 16 small cubes
03 - 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, for dusting hands if needed

For the garlic cheese topping

04 - 8 tablespoons (113 g) unsalted butter, melted
05 - 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
06 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
09 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
10 - 1 cup (115 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
11 - 1/3 cup (30 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
12 - 1 cup (240 ml) warm marinara sauce, for dipping

# Instructions:

01 - Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish or a 10-inch cast-iron skillet.
02 - In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, minced garlic, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and parsley.
03 - Separate the biscuit dough. Press each biscuit into a round about 4 inches wide, keeping the center a little thicker than the edges.
04 - Place 1 cold mozzarella cube in the center of each dough round. Pull the edges up around the cheese and pinch tightly to seal. Roll gently into a ball.
05 - Dip each sealed dough ball lightly in garlic butter. Arrange seam-side down in the prepared dish, leaving a little space between pieces.
06 - Spoon a little more garlic butter over the tops. Sprinkle evenly with cheddar and Parmesan.
07 - Bake for 20-22 minutes, until the biscuits are deep golden, puffed, and cooked through. If the tops brown too quickly, tent loosely with foil for the last few minutes.
08 - Let the biscuits rest for 5 minutes. Brush with any remaining garlic butter, garnish with parsley, and serve warm with marinara.

# Notes:

01 - Freeze the mozzarella cubes for 10 minutes before stuffing to reduce leaking.
02 - Best served warm within 10 minutes of baking.
03 - Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
