Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches (Print Version)

Buttery Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches layered with ham and Swiss, brushed with Dijon glaze, and baked until warm and melty.

# Ingredients:

For the sandwiches

01 - 48 Ritz crackers or other buttery round crackers
02 - 8 slices deli ham, cut or folded into 24 small pieces
03 - 6 slices Swiss cheese, cut into 24 small squares

For the glaze

04 - 4 tablespoons (56 g) unsalted butter, melted
05 - 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
06 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
09 - 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
10 - Pinch of black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Place 24 crackers flat side up on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
03 - Top each cracker with a folded piece of ham and one square of Swiss cheese, keeping the filling inside the cracker edges.
04 - Place the remaining 24 crackers on top and press gently so the stacks hold together without breaking.
05 - In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, dried minced onion, poppy seeds, and black pepper.
06 - Brush or spoon a small amount of glaze over each cracker sandwich. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden.
07 - Let the sandwiches rest on the pan for 2 minutes, then move them to a platter and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Best served warm within 15 minutes of baking.
02 - Assemble up to 4 hours ahead, but add the butter glaze just before baking.
03 - Nutrition is an estimate for 2 mini sandwiches.
