Baked Cheese Chips (Print Version)

Crispy baked cheese chips made with cheddar, Parmesan, and simple pantry seasonings in about 15 minutes.

# Ingredients:

For the cheese chips

01 - 1 1/4 cups (140 g) finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
02 - 3/4 cup (75 g) finely shredded Parmesan cheese
03 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
06 - 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
07 - Pinch cayenne pepper, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, stir together the cheddar, Parmesan, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and cayenne if using.
03 - Spoon tablespoon-sized mounds onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each one. Flatten each mound lightly into a thin circle.
04 - Bake for 6-8 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are golden brown. Start checking at 6 minutes because the chips darken quickly.
05 - Let the chips cool on the pan for 5 minutes so they firm up. Lift with a thin spatula and transfer to a rack or paper towel before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Best served the same day for the crispest texture.
02 - Re-crisp leftovers in a 325°F oven for 3-5 minutes, then cool before eating.
